Parashara describes Simha as a fixed fiery sign, male, kshatriya, rising head-first, dwelling in forests and mountains. Its lord is Surya, who holds his moolatrikona in its first 20 degrees and own dignity thereafter; no graha is exalted or debilitated in it.
