Sixth House
The sixth house governs obstacles that must be worked through: illness, debt, rivals, service, and daily labour

The sixth house governs obstacles that must be worked through: illness, debt, rivals, service, and daily labour. It is a hard house that repays effort — struggles here build the muscle the chart later uses.
Parashara assigns to the ripu (ari) bhava enemies, disease, wounds, maternal relatives, and servitude. A dusthana yet also an upachaya: malefics placed here defeat the enemies and diseases they signify, while a benefic occupant is spent protecting rather than enjoying.
— Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra bhāva considerations
Mars (litigation, wounds) and Saturn (chronic disease, service) share the karaka duty. The double character governs scoring: occupying malefics count as strength against rivals and illness, but the 6th lord's placement elsewhere shows where conflict and debt travel in the chart. In health work the 6th is read with the 1st, 8th and 12th as the classical health quartet; shashtashtaka (6–8) relationships between key lords flag friction the timing passes must respect.
Your placement is shown in the band above: this states where Sixth House falls in your chart and links each term to its page.
