Dehasthoulya Yoga Calculator
Deha Sthoulya yoga can be seen as an opposite to Krisanga yoga. Here the yoga says about a stout physique and heavy body feature. (Sthoulya meaning obesity) As I mentioned in another page of Deha Pushti yoga, there are combinations in the section of health yogas where contradicting statements are seen. An astrologer should apply the proper logic while judging the horoscope in those situations. During these modern yet unhealthy and less natural lifestyle, Dehasthoulya yoga may not correctly show its nature in natives.
Even though rare, there may be instances where you will see all the three combinations of Krisanga, Deha Pushti and Desha Sthoulya yogas in a single horoscope. So analysis should be made logically, seeing all the influencing factors such as signs, planets, and Navamsa.
Deha Sthoulya yoga is formed when Jupiter occupies the Lagna or aspects the Lagna from a watery sign (Cancer, Scorpio or Pisces).
Other combinations:
Lagna Lord and Navamsa Lagna Lord should be in a water sign.
The ascendant must fall in a watery sign in conjunction with benefics or the ascendant lord must be a watery planet
In the above three combinations, the first one is practically seen displaying said results of Deha Sthoulya yoga. Our calculator will only use the first combination.

Dehasthoulya Yoga is a Vedic astrology combination associated with a stout physique, fuller body build, and a tendency toward weight gain or heaviness. It is more about body tendency than automatic illness, and lifestyle plays an important role in how it manifests.
In this calculator, Dehasthoulya Yoga is checked when Jupiter occupies the Lagna, or when Jupiter aspects the Lagna from a watery sign such as Cancer, Scorpio, or Pisces.
The calculator checks whether Jupiter is placed in the Ascendant or aspects the Ascendant from Cancer, Scorpio, or Pisces. It follows the core formation rule only and does not rely on the broader secondary variants sometimes mentioned in other traditions.
When active, this yoga can indicate a naturally fuller frame, easier weight gain tendency, and a body pattern that responds strongly to comfort, nourishment, and routine. With discipline, the person may stay healthy even if the chart shows a tendency toward heaviness.
Yes. It can appear alongside yogas such as Krisanga or Dehapushti, which may seem contradictory. In such cases, the actual result depends on planetary strength, supporting and afflicting factors, and the person’s real-life habits such as diet, activity, and sleep.
