About Your Hidden Chart
Your Rashi chart (D1) places each planet by sign: its house is simply its sign counted from your lagna. The Bhava Chalit chart places it by house instead, measured from the exact degrees of your ascendant and midheaven. When the two disagree, a planet sits in one house by sign but gives its results from another. That is your hidden chart.
FeelAstro draws the Bhava Chalit chart with the Sripati method. The ascendant marks the middle of the 1st house and the midheaven the middle of the 10th, and every house boundary sits halfway between two house middles. Because the sky is not split into equal slices, the houses come out in different sizes, and planets near a boundary can change house. Close to three planets in ten land in a different house this way.
This free report shows which of your planets shift, whether any of your classical yogas change their footing, which planets that share a sign split across two houses, and when each shift is usually felt.
Frequently asked questions
What is the Bhava Chalit chart?
It is your birth chart drawn by houses instead of signs. Each house is measured from the exact degrees of your ascendant and midheaven, so a planet near the edge of a sign can belong to a neighbouring house. Astrologers read the Rashi chart for what a planet is, and the Bhava Chalit chart for where its results show up in your life.
Why does a planet show a different house here?
Your sign-based chart counts houses sign by sign. The Bhava Chalit chart counts them from your exact rising degree. A planet early or late in its sign can fall on the other side of a house boundary. Its sign never changes, only its house.
Which is right, the Rashi chart or the Bhava Chalit chart?
Both. The Rashi chart stays the main chart: yogas, doshas, strength and dignity are judged there. The Bhava Chalit chart shows the area of life where a planet's results are felt, and it is often said to come forward as a person matures.
Why the Sripati method?
Sripati is the classical Indian way to draw bhava chalit houses and is what most Indian astrology software calls the chalit chart. It uses your real ascendant and midheaven, so the houses come out unequal, as they are in the sky.
