The Significance of Varalakshmi Puja
Goddess Lakshmi, in her boon-granting form of Varalakshmi, is celebrated during the highly venerated Hindu festival of Varalakshmi Puja. The festival falls on the Friday preceding the full moon of Shravana (July-August). This festival is especially celebrated in the South Indian states of Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana.

The Story of Varalakshmi Puja
According to Hindu mythology, a pious woman named Charumati had a divine vision of Goddess Lakshmi, who instructed her to observe this puja for the prosperity of her family.
Charumati followed the ritual with devotion, and soon, she and her family were blessed with immense wealth, happiness, and good fortune. Since then, Varalakshmi Puja has been observed by women for the well-being of their households.
