Retrograde (Vakri)

A retrograde planet appears to move backward through the zodiac

A retrograde planet appears to move backward through the zodiac. Tradition reads it as intensified, interiorised planetary energy — results that arrive by revisiting, reworking, and second passes. The backward motion is only apparent, a trick of the Earth's own orbit, but it falls when the planet is closest to us, so its pull is felt strongly and personally rather than lightly. Its matters tend to turn inward: the person meets that planet's themes in their own way, often against the grain of how the world expects them, questioning the settled path instead of simply following it. Things here rarely arrive in a straight line — they circle back. Old situations return to be finished, decisions are reopened and reworked, and mastery comes through repetition and second chances rather than a clean first pass; many read this as unfinished business carried forward, a karmic thread gone over again until it is understood. A retrograde planet, then, asks for depth over speed: its gifts can be delayed or roundabout, but what is won by revisiting is usually held more deeply and truly one's own.
