PAC (Placement, Aspect and Conjunction) Calculator

PAC is one of the primary analysis which is made by an astrologer or an astrology enthusiast in order to learn about character, strength, presence of yoga or dosh or anything which is related to horoscope analysis. A planet which is acting as the lord of certain house or bhava need to be analysed for its placement in the horoscope, aspect it is getting if any, and conjunct status of the planet.

Placement Aspect Conjunction FAQ

PAC stands for Placement, Aspect, and Conjunction. This report gives a quick foundational view of how each planet is functioning in the horoscope by showing the houses it rules, the house it is placed in, the aspects it receives, and the planets it is conjunct with.

PAC is one of the most important starting points in astrology because almost every deeper judgement depends on it. Before judging yogas, doshas, strength, career, marriage, wealth, or spiritual trends, an astrologer first studies where each planet is placed, what it rules, what influences it receives, and which planets it combines with.

The Lordship column shows which houses a planet rules in the horoscope. This is important because a planet does not act only by its natural nature — it also acts according to the houses it owns. A planet carrying good or difficult house lordship can change how its placement and conjunctions should be interpreted.

The Placement column shows the house where the planet is placed in the birth chart. This tells you where the energy of that planet is operating most directly in life and where the results of its lordship are being delivered.

This shows whether a planet is receiving aspect from another planet. Aspects modify the behaviour of a planet by adding support, pressure, discipline, expansion, disturbance, or other qualities depending on which planet is influencing it.

This shows which planets are joined together in the same sign or house. Conjunction is very important because planets that sit together mix their energies, and this can strengthen, distort, support, or complicate the results they give in that part of the horoscope.

Use the PAC table to study each planet step by step: first see what houses it rules, then where it is placed, then whether it is receiving aspect, and finally which planets it is joined with. This gives a clean base for judging strength, yogas, doshas, and practical life results.

The Retrograde Status tab shows whether a planet is in direct or retrograde motion. Retrograde planets are often interpreted as acting differently in expression, timing, or intensity, so this tab helps you see whether the planet is moving normally or in apparent reverse motion.

No. Retrograde does not automatically make a planet bad. It usually means the planet behaves with a different kind of force, complexity, reversal, repetition, or inner intensity. The final result depends on the planet, its dignity, lordship, house placement, and the rest of the chart.
