Garuda Yoga is an auspicious Vedic astrology yoga associated with courage, valour, strong speech, reputation, and a protective presence. It often indicates a person who is respected, morally strong, and difficult for opponents to handle.
Garuda Yoga forms when the Moon is waxing, the Navamsa lord of the Moon’s Navamsa sign is exalted in the Rashi chart, and the birth takes place during the daytime astrologically, meaning between sunrise and sunset.
The calculator checks whether the Moon is in Shukla Paksha, identifies the Moon’s Navamsa sign and its lord, then verifies whether that Navamsa lord is exalted in the birth chart. It also checks whether the birth is a true day birth under astrological timing rules.
When well-formed, Garuda Yoga can support courage, persuasive speech, reputation, intelligence, and a strong protective aura. It can also improve one’s ability to face pressure, rivals, or difficult situations with steadiness.
The yoga can weaken when shadow planets such as Rahu or Ketu strongly disturb the Moon, Lagna, or the yoga components. Patterns such as Visha or Punarphoo can also reduce its smooth effects by creating delay, instability, or stress-heavy expression.
