    Chandika Yoga FAQ

Chandika Yoga is a rare and powerful Vedic astrology yoga associated with fearlessness, victory, leadership, influence, and material strength. It is often linked with charts of forceful personalities, rulers, politicians, or people who can dominate high-pressure situations.

Chandika Yoga is formed when the Lagna is a fixed sign such as Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, or Aquarius, the 6th Lord aspects the Lagna, and Sun is conjunct the Rashi lords of the Navamsa signs occupied by the 6th Lord and the 9th Lord in the birth chart.

The calculator checks whether the Ascendant is fixed, whether the 6th Lord aspects the Lagna, and whether the Sun is conjunct the required Rashi lords derived from the Navamsa placements of the 6th Lord and 9th Lord. It then reviews whether the formation is strong enough to support the yoga in practice.

When strong and clean, Chandika Yoga can support courage, power, victory over opponents, strong command, leadership intensity, and influence over people or systems. It can also favour material success through authority and force of will.

The yoga can weaken when Sun is heavily afflicted, especially by Rahu or Saturn. Rahu can create controversy, instability, or risky decisions, while Saturn can produce delay, burden, and fear-based judgement. Mars can support the yoga in many charts, but in some cases it can also make results more volatile.
