Graha Avastha Table

Graha Avastha means the condition or state of a planet in the horoscope. It helps show how a planet is functioning internally — whether it is strong, active, alert, satisfied, passive, strained, weakened, or limited in its ability to give results.

The Graha Avastha Report shows the condition of each planet through different avastha systems such as age-related state, alertness state, and mood or qualitative state. This helps refine horoscope interpretation by showing not only where a planet is placed, but how well it is functioning.

The Age tab usually shows Baladi or similar avastha states such as Bala, Kumara, Yuva, Vriddha, or Mrita. These states symbolically indicate whether a planet is like a child, youthful, mature, old, or weak/inert in its ability to act. A youthful or mature state is generally stronger than an exhausted or inert one.

The Alertness tab shows Jagradadi Avastha, which indicates whether a planet is awake, dreaming, or asleep in its expression. A जाग्रत or alert planet usually acts more directly and effectively, while a sleeping or inactive state may reduce responsiveness, clarity, or practical output.

The Mood tab shows Deeptadi or similar qualitative avastha states, which describe how the planet feels or functions in its condition. These states may indicate whether the planet is satisfied, troubled, proud, distressed, weakened, or otherwise altered in the quality of its expression.

Graha Avastha is important because it adds depth beyond sign, house, and dignity. Two planets may be in similar placements, but their avastha can show very different strength, awareness, and quality of results. This makes prediction and interpretation more refined and realistic.

Use this report to understand which planets in your chart are functioning strongly and which are weak, passive, strained, or limited. It is especially useful when comparing planets that already have important roles in your horoscope, such as Lagna Lord, Moon, 9th Lord, 10th Lord, or dasha lords.
