Punarphoo yoga is one planetary combination most people have lots of different interpretations. A person with punarphoo dosha faces some problems in marriage and marital life. This can be in various forms, like delay in marriage, confusion during engagements, dissatisfaction towards the spouse, or some sort of separation in the relationship and relationship with another person in marital life.
Saturn and Moon when conjunction or having mutual aspects and also if in any way connected to the 7th house, then this dosha is seen in people. There are many other versions of definitions for this yoga combination, like Saturn falling in the Star of the Moon and vice versa. But in my experience, whenever Saturn and Moon are connected to each other and with the 7th house, then the person who is having this combination suffers from this dosha, especially during the initial period of marriage. In the majority of these cases, the couple never gets a legal separation or divorce. This is because of Saturn's influence happening over the 7th house.
These are the people who are depressed about thinking of their past days. The Moon controlling a person's mind always falls under the restrictive character of Saturn. If Moon is more potent in a person's chart, then the person will overcome these restrictions set by Saturn, which may affect their lives later. It is essential to see the strength and potency of Saturn and Moon in a person's birth chart. For example, if any of these planets become the lord of the 7th house and the other planet is strong or important (like Lagna lord), then the adverse effects of punarphoo dosha are almost certain. When this dosha becomes strong as mentioned in the example, then that person should be well aware of their choices and decisions as there is a very high chance of making strange choices in life which may negatively affect their marital and personal life.
Conjunction or mutual connection between the fastest & dreamy planet Moon with the slowest & practical planet Saturn makes the person very practical, keen on learning things, calm and peaceful. But this combination, when connected with the 7th house of marriage, creates some undesirable results because they will be making wrong decisions at the wrong time. Usually, this dosha is not very damaging in the long run of marital life, as Saturn is capable of standing for truth and justice, and at some point, the person themselves will come out of these traumas.
When Saturn conjuncts with Moon or have the mutual aspect or has a parivarthan (exchange of houses), then Vish Yoga is formed in the horoscope. Vish Yoga is the same as Punarphoo dosha. Vish yoga can negatively affect a person's life, and they may see difficulties and failures throughout their life. Vish yoga can occur in any one among the 12 houses; wherever it occurs, the negativity will be related to matters pertaining to that house.
Saturn's restriction over the Moon will be the cause of damage. Moon represents our thoughts and Saturn our Karma; so when Saturn imposes restrictions over the Moon, the person tends to perform Karma without thinking which will eventually cause trouble in life.
The positive side of Vish Yoga:-
Vish yoga can give the person a strong inclination towards spirituality and spiritual intelligence. A person who leads a saintly life will greatly benefit from this yoga if present in their horoscope.
